What a fantastic day we have had!
Today we visited St Mary’s Island as part of our English unit ‘The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch.’ We began the day rock pooling, we managed to catch some fish, edible crabs, shore crabs, hermit crabs and even a star fish that looked just like Patrick from Sponge Bob! We then we explored what it was like to be a lighthouse keeper and his assistant 125 years ago and then managed to climb the 137 steps all the way to the top to see the fantastic views!
Well done Year 1 for your fantastic behaviour and attitudes today and not forgetting making it all of the way to the top of the lighthouse!
