In our art lessons, the children in Year 5 have been studying landscape artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe and Joseph Mallard William Turner. They have identified how perspective is created in art work using the vanishing point.

In their final piece, the children applied taught skills of using the grid method to translate an image onto paper and then used watercolours to paint the landscape.

The children were very proud of their creations and showed they could apply colour mixing to achieve the colours found in the original pieces of art work.
