Our new English text, Monsters – An owner’s guide, tells us all we need to know about how to assemble and operate a monster from the Monstermatic Toy Company. Unfortunately, we were sent an email from a monster owner, telling us about the problems she has had with her monster. Today we practiced using subordinate conjunctions e.g. because, when and while, to explain why her monster has behaved that way and what she can do to improve its behaviour.
We took part in a role play activity with one partner playing Lucy (the monster’s owner) and the other partner playing a member of the Monstermatic Toy Company Team. Lucy had to describe a problem she had with her monster and the team member had to explain why the monster might behave that way and what Lucy could to to help with this behaviour.
