In English, the children in Year 5 are using the book ‘The Arrival’ by Shaun Tan as a stimulus for their writing.
This week, the children acted out part of the story to develop a conversation between two of the characters.
The children used expression and actions to convey the feelings of the characters as they presented their work.
They then used their performances to develop written dialogue.
