Goldilocks and the Three Bears

by Miss Goddard | Feb 11, 2025 | DT, Early Years Foundation Stage, English, Latest News, News, PSHE

This week we have been reading the story ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. We read the story and joined in with repeated phrases such as ‘Daddy Bears porridge was too hot!’, ‘baby bears chair was just right!’. We used these repeated phrases during our play when using puppets and props to retell the story. We then looked at how the characters were   feeling during different scenarios, we used picture cards to label the emotions that we could see. We were extremely busy within the provision doing lots of Goldilocks themed activities. We discussed the bears family and related that to our own families. We enjoyed drawing pictures of the people who live in our house. In the mud kitchen we were very busy making bowls of porridge. We used natural resources such as leaves, mud and sticks to create different flavours of porridge.
