Anti-Bullying week in Year 5

by Mrs Gaukrodger | Nov 13, 2023 | Events and Visits, PSHE, Year 5

In year 5, we kicked off anti-bullying week by wearing odd socks to school on Monday. We joined in with the BBC Teach Live Lesson for anti-bullying week called Make a Noise. This started off by identifying bullying behaviour and spotting the signs of bullying behaviour in a drama acted out by a group of children. These signs included an imbalance of power, the deliberate intention to hurt someone else and the repetition of this behaviour. We went on to look at the difference between bullying behaviour and banter, finishing off with what to do if we are bullied or we think someone else is being bullied.
