Reception are currently working really hard during our Maths lessons, as we have started learning all about time and how to read a clock. Reception started by learning the days of the week and the months of the year, which we always begin our day with, during our morning welcome board. We have then followed on from this by learning the important job of a clock, observed the numbers that go round it and what the big hand and little hand are used for. Reception have then enjoyed making their own clocks in our provision and telling each other the time using the word – ‘o’clock’. Together, as a class we have then made a big clock, to put inside our Farm Shop, to let us know when it it is open and when it is closed for our role play.
