We discussed the meaning of the word ‘persuasion’ and what the purpose of persuasive writing is. We looked at examples of persuasive writing and noted the differences between this genre and narrative writing. We highlighted all the features we could spot and discussed how they helped persuade the reader to change their minds. We are starting to build a toolkit to assist our writing.
