The children in Year 5 visited Birtley Methodist Church to learn about the Easter Story.
At the church, the children re-enacted parts of the days before the crucifixion , including welcoming Jesus into the town and visiting the temple.
The children had the opportunity to sample parts of the Passover meal after learning that Jesus shared the story of Passover with his disciples at the last supper.
At the end of the session, the children created an Easter craft to help them remember all of the parts of the Easter Story.
