In our English lessons we have been reading ‘A Giant Dose of Gross’ by Andy Seed. We looked at how he presented the information about animals and identified features of non-chronological reports he used in his work.
We went on to learn about animals that can perform amazing feats. We found out about the Jesus lizard that can run on water, the lyre bird than copy different sounds they hear and the mimic octopus that can change its shape, colour and behaviour to impersonate other sea creatures.
We then presented the information we had found out in our own double page spreads, in the style of Andy Seed.
