In our English lessons, we have been exploring the picture book, ‘The Tunnel,’ by Anthony Browne. In the story, the older brother crawled into a tunnel that he and his sister discovered on some wasteland. His sister didn’t want to go into the tunnel with her brother because she was scared about what might be inside it. When her brother didn’t come out, she decided that she would have to follow him in.
In our lesson today, we explored a range of different feelings that the sister may have experienced. Our job was to rank the feelings and put them in zones, from the least intense to the most intense feeling. It was really interesting exploring and discussing the words we were given and working out which zone to put each word into.
