In their DT lessons, the children in Year 5 have tested and analysed various types of bridge (beam, arch and truss) to determine their strength and stability.
They then explored material properties and sources, before marking, cutting and assembling a wooden truss bridge. Even though the children found creating the structure tricky, they all showed that they could persevere to complete their design.
