Nursery have had a splash-tastic time this morning playing in the rain! Nursery loved exploring how jumping in the puddles made the water fly up into the air. We worked hard exploring colours by using powder paints and mixing them into the puddles. Nursery developed their gross motor muscles by using broomsticks and painting rollers to manipulate the water around the yard. We loved exploring making marks using mud and water. The mud kitchen was extremely popular this morning! We made some delicious soup, milkshakes and even mud burgers. The children loved counting the leaves into the pans, discussing if their pan was full or empty and comparing who had the heaviest/ lightest pan. We loved discussing how the rain changed parts of our outside area by creating puddles and the consistency of the mud.
