Reception have had a very busy few weeks recently, looking at our topics travel, holidays and beaches as well as exploring the vehicles that get us to our destinations. Reception have painted beach pictures in the art area and used real sand to complete their scene. We also used 2D shapes to create vehicles including cars, boats and rocket-ships with the paints by pressing the shape down and printing it on to our paper. Reception have also used different junk modelling to make our own vehicles, using various creative resources. We have loved choosing in our role play area currently in our classroom, which has been a travel agents, we booked holidays for our friends and made sure they had their passports and boarding passes, we also made lists for what we would need on holiday, including sun cream, sunglasses and sun hats and loved dressing up depending if we were going to a hot or cold destination. Reception also had lots of fun outside using the car wash role play, to clean our bikes, which we pretended to be cars. We have been creative in the play dough area making different models, including roads and beaches using different objects. Reception also made some lovely photo frames to showcase our holiday photographs and wrote postcards about places we have been too, which we have currently have on our display outside our classroom.
