Reception had the most amazing time outdoors at Gibside today. We started our day at the walled garden, on a mini-beast hunt. We explored the grounds and found spiders, ladybirds, worms and more using our magnifying glasses and pots to observe them closer. Reception then walked to the woodland to see if they could find some different types of mini-beasts in a different area, which included beetles, wood-louses and snails. Once we had finished investigating, Reception quickly went to the toilets and washed their hands before eating their lunch.After dinner we had a look around the orangery at the flowers before using coloured paper to make some bark rubbings on the nearby trees. Once we had finished all of our activities throughout the day, Reception had chance to play in the awesome park on the afternoon, before we were collected to come back to school. Reception were so well behaved and had the best day.
