Nursery have had a wonderful morning working with the Wildlife Trust who came to visit us. Alex from the Wildlife Trust spoke to us all about mini-beasts! We were able look at pictures of different types of mini-beasts, some of them we had never seen before! We learned about where they live, what they eat and what some of them turn into. We had the opportunity to look at mini-beasts skin and homes in investigation jars. We loved looking at what a cocoon looks like and a wasps nest. We then spoke about how a bee makes honey! Nursery loved learning how a bee flies to the flower to drink the nectar, gets the pollen stuck to their body and takes it back to the hive. We have learned lots of new vocabulary about mini-beasts and worked extremely hard, great job Nursery!
