In reception we have been learning all about growing and planting. We have been finding out about all the different plants that feed us. To help us explore this topic, we tasted some different fruit and vegetables from around the world. The children thoroughly enjoyed tasting fruits such as mango, kiwi and pineapple. This week we made our very own smoothies from some of the fruit we tasted in class last week. We created a pictogram to show our favourite fruit and used them to make a delicious smoothie. The children had a lot of fun preparing the fruit ready to blend. We have continued to explore growing and planting inside the classroom by playing on our farm shop, weighing different fruit and vegetables as well as using them to paint.
