Year 1 had a fabulous time on our visit to Durham Castle today. We began the morning with a guided tour around the castle, looking at the features of the castle and learning about its history. Some of the children dressed up as King William and the Prince Bishop of Durham connected to the castle history.

In the afternoon, the children made their own cardboard models of castles and were challenged to make a strong castle wall that the teachers tried to knock down! All the children were so well behaved and it was a fun and educational visit.
