This week Nursery have been learning all about dinosaurs! We have loved reading a range of stories such as ‘Harry and his bucket full of dinosaurs’, ‘Tyrannosaurus Drip’ and ‘Monstersaurus!’. These books have inspired our learning this week, we have been washing dinosaurs in the water tray like Harry did when he discovered the box of dinosaurs and we have been printing dinosaur feet in the art area just like what Tyrannosaurus Drip did in the mud! Throughout this week we have been discussing how we have only seen dinosaur bones and never seen a real dinosaur, we have learned that dinosaurs are extinct and they are from the past. We have been looking at the different types of dinosaurs and their characteristics, we couldn’t believe that some were herbivores. Nursery also had lots of fun playing Dino Stomp, this game introduced early skills of computing by following a set of instructions to complete the trail, turning our body when the direction of the footprint had changed. Fantastic work Nursey!
