Reception have been recapping their knowledge of shape names and their properties. We then explored squares and rectangles in different orientations and sizes. Reception investigated what happened when we combined shapes together. We made some amazing discoveries! 2 triangles made a square and 2 semi-circles made a circle. During choosing time, we made 2d shape snowmen and used our knowledge of number composition to work out the total amount of buttons each snowman had. We used Piet Mondrian artwork as inspiration in our art area. Well done Reception!
