Year 2 certainly can!
In PE the children have been developing throwing and catching skills. This will help to prepare them to play invasion games later in the term. They used a bean bag to practise various throwing and catching challenges. The had to think carefully about hand positions when throwing in the air and when catching, body position and hand to eye coordination.
Ollie, our coach, was extremely impressed with their skills by the end of the lesson. Next week, we are going to develop throwing and catching with a partner.
