We worked in groups to generate ideas for descriptive paragraphs linked to our class text of ‘The Christmasaurus’ using a picture of an unnamed dinosaur.
We thought about the features of the dinosaur we would need to describe and what sorts of things we could compare these features to. We discussed how our comparisons would need to be universally understood and recognisable for that quality. We started to create more detailed expanded noun phrases using prepositions.
