Today, we had a special visit from Gateshead Music Service, where we celebrated some local heroes through music. We learnt about some exceptional individuals such as Earl Grey, Grace Darling, Thomas Hepburn, Joseph Swan, William Armstrong and their achievements.
We then sang a range of songs and played lots of percussion instruments not forgetting our visit from Ant & Dec! Some children were very brave and sang solo for the audience!
We certainly live in a very special area with lots of inspirational people. Could you be our next local hero?
