Year 2 have enjoyed a day out at The Discovery Museum. We took part in an exciting workshop investigating Victorian Newcastle through the events of the Great fire of Newcastle and Gateshead in 1854. We heard the story of the Great fire, how it started and discussed how it spread.
After lunch, we made our own puppets of some of the locals who were present at the fire. Then we re-enacted the story in the puppet theatre.
