Today, Year 4 have been working on their flexible partitioning of 4-digit numbers. We used our place value counters to create our numbers, then split them into different parts.
We realised that we could not just partition into the thousands, hundreds, tens and ones, but into some other 4 and 3-digit numbers and they would have the same total.
