The children in Reception have been using positional language throughout their lessons this week. The children started by explaining where a Teddy was for example next to the books. They then were able to give their own instructions to a friend. The children have also drawn a map of the classroom. The children included words like next to, in front of and behind when describing the classroom. Finally the children looked at Birtley on google maps then described how to get to their home from school. The children used the words left, right and forward.
