Year 6 had a very hot but great day at Gibside yesterday. Gateshead’s school sports partnership got some schools in the area together to compete in an orienteering challenge. Using the whole of Gibside’s grounds we used a map with a key to locate markers around the site. It was hard work but the children were fantastic and really enjoyed themselves. We hope to get the results of the times it took us to get round sent to school soon and the children will receive a certificate for taking part.
