Today Year 2 had some very special visitors, Brother Khadim and his wife took the time to come over from Newcastle to tell us a bit about their religion as we have just started our new RE topic. It was so interesting to hear about the similarities with some of the religions we have already learned about and some of the differences that we didn’t know. The children had lots and LOTS of questions to ask them and Brother Khadim was more than happy to answer all the questions and tell us about praying and prayer mats, clothing that Muslim people wear and we looked at some of the most beautiful mosques around the world. We are so grateful for all our new knowledge and it will come in very useful in our RE lessons.
