Year 1 have had so much fun today preparing for King Charles III Coronation tomorrow. We have looked at pictures of previous coronations and learned about the symbolism of the crown, sceptre and orb. We re-enacted the events of the coronation – from the crowds lining the streets and waving flags to the crowning of the King in Westminster Abbey. We all had the chance to dress up as a king or queen and sit on the throne. We have also been singing special coronation songs and have made a decoration to put up at home. We are now looking forward to watching history being made when Charles is crowned King tomorrow.
