Year 1 have been exploring everyday materials in science. We have been looking at a range of materials and their properties. We found out about which materials floated and which materials sunk. We used this knowledge to build a boat that could float. We tested our boats in water and then added 500g masses to see how much weight our boat could carry before it sunk!
