Year 6 had an amazing visit to the Life Science Centre. The day was packed with fun and learning with plenty of hands-on activities to stretch our brains. We began in one of the special zones dedicated to Space, where we were able to discover what the life of an astronaut living in space would be like. Following this, we visited a live science show and even managed to pack in a visit to the planetarium, exploring the constellations in the night sky.
We started the afternoon discovering that Newcastle was one of the first places in the world to have electric streetlights and explored how to generate electricity in an environmentally friendly way during the Electrifying Newcastle workshop.
