Year 1 have been learning about numbers to 50 this week. First we practised counting forwards and backwards to 50. Next we practised finding and reading numbers on a 50 square. Then we practised counting a large group of objects by making groups of 10 and then looking at the ones left over.
Today we have been learning about place value and used base 10 to represent numbers to 50. We needed to think carefully about how many tens and how many ones are in each number. We also practised drawing tens and ones to represent given numbers. It has certainly been a busy week!
