Tuesday was Nursery and Reception’s trip day to Hall Hill Farm. We started our journey on the coach and we were all so very excited. Once we got to the farm, we were split up in to two different groups with our teachers, parent helpers and guides for the day. Some of us started on the tractor to see the animals in the fields, which included a Shetland pony and some llamas. While the other group went straight to the pens to feed the goats and sheep. We then moved around and were very lucky to be able to go and hold the chicks. They were so small and fluffy, so we had to be very gentle with them. We also got to see some pigs, highland cows and peacocks while we walked around the farm. Next, both groups met up together and were fortunate to bottle feed the lambs who were very hungry, before going and getting our own dinner. After dinner we swapped around and completed the activities we had not done yet, before meeting up together again to hold and stroke the rabbits and guinea pigs. We then got a turn in the soft play and had lots of fun going down the big slide and hiding in the ball pit until it was time to come back to school. After a busy day at the farm, we got on the coach and some Nursery and Reception children even fell asleep on the way back. We finally got back just in time for home time, where our grown ups were waiting for us to hear all about our day. Nursery and Reception were so respectful and well behaved today and not even the cold and wet weather could dampen our spirits. We all had the most amazing time at Hall Hill Farm
