In computing we have been using questions with yes or no answers to group collections of objects. We learned how to arrange objects in a tree structure called a branching database.
To begin with, we were given pictures of different dinosaurs. We needed to think of one question that could split the dinosaurs into two smaller groups. Working on large sheets of paper we then worked with our partners to use questions to break down these groups further, until each dinosaur was represented in their own group. We then moved on to create our own online databases using j2data.
