In Art and Design this term, Year 4 are looking at architecture. They have looked at a range of architectural styles and today, focussed on the symmetrical design of St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. This beautiful building was designed by master architect, Sir Christopher Wren.
Year 4 tried their hand at lots of quick sketches of the building, with only a few minutes per sketch. They also had to do one were they couldn’t take their pencil off the page and even one with their eyes closed!
We discussed how we had to make sure we got the key features of the design each time and how these challenges made us realise what these were.
