This week, as part of our RE work, the children in Year 1 each brought in a book that is special to them and shared their books with the class. We talked and wrote about why our book is special and then drew a picture of the cover.
We then found out about special religious books. We learned about the Bible (the Christian holy book), the Qur’an (the Muslim holy book) and the Torah (the first part of the Jewish Bible). Christians, Muslims and Jews believe these special books contain the word of God.
