Year 3 have been working very hard in maths to divide. Today, they used base 10 apparatus to support their understanding of dividing when exchanges are needed. This followed on from their learning yesterday when the division questions did not require an exchange. I was very impressed with their understanding and how the children used related facts. Corbin said, ”I know 2 x 3 = 6 so 20 x 3 = 60.” Evie managed to work out that 72 could be partitioned in more than one way and still be divisible by 3. Fantastic number work!
