We have been exploring lots of festive fun in Early Years. We made fake snow with cornflour and oil, decorated the Christmas tree, made baubles and Christmas wreaths, explore our Elf Shop and lots more. We read the story ’The Nativity. The Story of Baby Jesus’ by May Eliot and used the small world figures to retell the story. The children then linked this learning to their parts in our Christmas Performance. We enjoyed Christmas Jumper day and our Christmas lunch. Finally, it started to SNOW! Of course this meant the children went outside to enjoy the snowflakes falling from the sky.
