Year One had a special visitor today John, a volunteer from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. He talked about the people who help us stay safe by the water and what to do if we see someone or if we find ourselves in trouble. We practised our star floating technique and looked at the different warning flags we would find on the beach discussing what they mean. Later we talked about how Grace Darling inspired the work of the RNLI and acted out her brave rescue in 1838.
