Year 2 have said a fond farewell to our fascinating visitors. Last month, 5 tiny little caterpillars arrived in school and each day we watched them grow and grow and grow! Within 2 weeks they had formed a chrysalis which was amazing to see with our own eyes. We have learnt so much watching each stage of a butterfly’s life and when they began to hatch from their cocoon was beyond exciting! We made a suitable home with food, air and water and once they were ready we opened it up and waved goodbye to our fascinating friends. 🐛 🦋
