Nursery and Reception have started a fun filled week of celebrations for the Queen’s Jubilee. We have read the story ’The Queen’s Knickers’ by Nicholas Allan and ’What the Ladybird Heard On Holiday’ by Julia Donaldson. We have discussed who the Queen is, where she lives and what clothing she wears. We have compared photos of the Queen from when she was a baby to now. So far Early Years have enjoyed exploring red, blue and white rice, finger painting the Union Jack flag, making Union Jack Sticks, writing facts about the queen and playing in our Queen’s palace role play area. We have lots more fun activities planned for the rest of the week!
