This half term Year 2 have been reading ‘The Katie Morag Collection’ by the Scottish author and illustrator Mairi Hedderwick. The books have certainly been a class favourite and inspired some super pieces of writing from character and setting descriptions to our very own narratives based on Katie and her mischievous cousins. Year 2 ended the term by producing holiday brochures for The Isle of Coll where the stories are set. They definitely persuaded lots of teachers to visit there!
