In maths year 2 have been making arrays to help them understand multiplication. We arranged counters in rows and columns to calculate different multiplication sentences. We realised the arrays we made were shown by a rectangle shape. We even started to see multiplication fact families from the arrays we created eg 10 x 3 = 3 x 10.
