This afternoon, Year 5 received a special visit from the Yorkshire Building Society. They came to talk to us about budgeting and used the idea or a virtual party to explain terms such as variable and fixed rates. The children worked in teams to plan their party calculating the total cost then deciding how much they would charge for tickets based on the cost to buy supplies etc. The children had to present their ideas to the class and I got to choose the group that we’re the winners based on their ideas. Well done to the Harry Potter team!
