Year 6 have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Victorians. They also discovered what life was like during the Victorian era through the class text: Street Child. We enjoyed learning about Queen Victoria’s life and reign.
In history, we learned how the Industrial Revolution changed Britain and how advancements in medicine improved people’s health and improvements in transport and roads made travel faster.
During our English lessons, we read the book, Street Child and wrote some fabulous diary entries about life in a Victorian workhouse. Well done Year 6!
