Today, year 2 were given a challenge to wash and clean a toy animal so we could try to work out the step by step guide to wash a woolly mammoth. First, we filled a bowl with warm water and added our bubbles. We then scrubbed, rubbed and washed our animals with lots of love and care. We made sure we even cleaned behind their ears and tried not to get soap in their eyes! Finally we patted our animals down carefully to dry them off.
We then read our new story ‘HOW TO WASH A WOLLY MAMMOTH’ which we found very funny. Our job was to then retell each instruction using a story map.
Mrs Chapman was very impressed with the word choices we were using.
