As part of their STEM project with Success4All, Year 6 have looked at how to separate plastics according to their properties. They carried out a number of investigations including tests to determine if the plastic was PVC, polystyrene or polythene and creating a density tower. Making their own density tower was a lot of fun and fascinating to see how the objects moved to different layers according to their density.
