Today Year 2 were given a science challenge to help fix Howard’s umbrella which had a big hole in it so he was unfortunately getting wet and was very unhappy! The children were given various materials to predict which would be best to fix the hole. We then tested each material, made our observations and recorded our results.
We concluded that tinfoil and cellophane were waterproof whereas paper, fabric and tissue paper were not a suitable material to stop Howard getting wet!
Well done scientists – a super experiment and your results have made Howard dry and happy!👏
