Deacon Linda Watkin came into school to deliver our harvest assembly today. We enjoyed singing harvest songs and also enjoyed hosting the first Barley Mow Bread Olympics. We found out lots of interesting facts about bread. Did you know that long ago bread was used for trading and also as a sorry gift? We found out that 12 million loaves of bread are bought in the UK every year but about a third of this is wasted. Visitors from the food bank came in to collect the donations of food which will be distributed to families who are struggling and in need of help. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated food items, it is very much appreciated.
