We have been reading Oliver’s Vegetables. In the story Oliver finds lots of vegetables in his Grandpa’s garden which he has to eat. We received a letter from Oliver asking us to help him make some soup with the food he found. We chopped, peeled, trimmed, cut, diced and sliced the food into small pieces. We then boiled the soup in a pan until the food was tender. We then blended the vegetables together and had a little taste of the soup before we gave it to Oliver.
Our job was then to write down the instructions so Oliver knew what to do. Mrs Chapman was very impressed with our writing.
